MEMORIAL TREE CAMPAIGN- THE PERFECT GIFT FOR ANY OCCASION!
Are you looking for the perfect way to commemorate an anniversary, birthday, or special event in a loved one’s life? Consider a more meaningful gift of a Greening of Detroit Memorial Tree. Our Memorial Tree Program provides a unique gift that not only honors your loved one but also brings life and beauty to Detroit’s neighborhoods.

Each year, The Greening of Detroit selects a memorial grove site, which may be located in a park, schoolyard, boulevard or major thoroughfare. Honorees receive an invitation to the planting event and a permanent marker bearing the honoree’s name will be installed at the planting site.

These living memorials pay tribute to loved ones, while also creating a more beautiful Detroit. As one donor told us, his gift was “a fitting tribute to my dad in a place that was important to him.”
